Instructions:
- 2 cups cooked lentils
- 2 cups cooked red beans (I used adzuki beans)
- 1 jar passatta (strained tomatoes found in Italian section)
- ¼ red onion, diced
- ¼ cup cream
- 1 tbls. Butter
- ½ tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. hot red pepper flakes (seeds)
Instructions:
Saute onions in butter until soft. Add red pepper flakes and cumin and continue to sauté until well blended. Add tomatoes, red beans, lentils and cream. Simmer for 10 – 15 minutes.
Note: If not on the advanced diet, serve the beans and lentils on brown rice.
